{Playing At The Park}

A little behind, but better late than never. Here are a few from the park with the Bizons. Fun crew =>

{PS I Passed}

I often struggle with balancing school life and home life, namely figuring out a way to study at home without alienating my kids. A few weeks ago I was studying for the LPN (licensed practical nurse) exam and had holed myself up in my bedroom to do so. The kids assumed I was gone and so a few hours went by in peace and quiet... Then Jillian realized where I was. I was faced with a conundrum, forbid her from remaining in my room for fear she would interrupt my concentration (she loves to chat), or insist she could remain, but had to stay quiet. Well, I'm so glad I chose to let her stay, I just pleasantly informed her that I couldn't visit but she could play quietly on my bed if she wanted. Well, she took it a step further and grabbed her own little chair and books to study. Desi walked in and just grinned, slipping out to grab the camera. It was the cutest thing ever. I sure love this little girl to the tips of her toes. She's just such a pleasure, even after her exceptionally sassy moments, she has the biggest heart and just really loves her momma. And her momma really loves her too....

{Bye-Bye Baby Locks}

Finally bit the bullet and got Jillian a real haircut. She wasn't too big on sitting in the chair with a stranger coming at her with a pair of scissors. --sigh-- After a fit and some screaming, Jilly emerged sans about 4-5 inches of hair. A little crooked, but you couldn't blame the poor stylist (I managed to fix it). She laughed when I tipped her 5 bucks as she said that was probably the shortest haircut she'd ever done. Jillian is, however, a fan of the shorter style, I definitely like that it takes about 1/3 the time to brush after a bath. Boy does she look more grown up though... I think my mom-in-law wanted to cry when she saw it. She always loved her long hair, but it was time. When you're having difficulty keeping it from getting stuck in your armpits or get caught up in it trying to get up from the couch, I would think it's time.

{Sorry for the horrible lack of posts...again}

So sad, but our PC is temporarily out of commission for posting pics =< We had to change our internet service provider so Desi could begin working from home 2 days a week. (So great!!) So now we have to move our desk somewhere near a telephone jack??? Looks like I'll be rearranging, sigh, there is no great home for it, not that I particularly love its current location. A new desk would be even better => So, hopefully I'll get to it sooner than later? I'll keep you "posted" - haha! (such a bad joke, but I really can't help it, it's genetic)

{"Ridiculous"}

Holy Pooh I'm OBSESSED with this show! So You Think You Can Dance...I can't even find the words. Anyhow, I am IN LOVE with Twitch! He's such a crazy wicked dancer and the fact I love this song and Hip-Hop dance...well, lets just say I've practically ruined my DVR rewinding it so many times. In another life, this would be my dream... So enjoy, PS look at his head moving! He's like a robot, and props to Comfort! It was to-tally "Buck" =>

{Daddy and His Boy}

Found this one in the archives. Sweet...

{Happy Birthday, Baby Blue Eyes}

We celebrated Aiden's birthday on Saturday with family and "partied" it up so to speak. It was a fabulous day. Aiden loved it and was so adorable. His all time fav gift (with which he is playing as I type) is THE most boy toy I can think of, a GIANT Monster Truck that lights up and rocks some sweet guitar riffs => As soon as he opened it he lost all care for his other presents (this one was only number two, mind you => ) they may as well have all been socks for all he cared => Once he got over the truck for a minute he superbly enjoyed the rest of his spoils. He's been getting excellent use out of his awesome selection of dump trucks, McQueen parafenalia (??sp??) and books. My favorite memory of the day was when each time I lit the candle to sing him happy b-day, he blew it out immediately. I swear I must have lit the thing at least five times, we finally made it through the song, which he loved and joined us in singing. Happy Birthday is one of his favorites to sing. If I could ever figure out how to post videos, I would post his lovely rendition. => Well, after all the festivities the day before, we laid pretty low on his actual bday, I couldn't resist a little breakfast treat with a reprise of the song and the candles (I had to relight them several times as well.) SO here are a few in honor of one of the best days of my life, Aiden Christian's birth.
PS: Thanks to Jaime for the great info on where to find the decor. Good ole' Wally-world as my mom-in-law calls it.

{Aiden Turns Two}

{Happy Quatro of July!}}

We celebrated with these three cuties in the am and rang in the city fireworks in the pm with them as well...with other fun folks in between. The boys were very impressed with the army trucks. Way cool =>

To say Jilly disliked the parade would be a gross understatement. It's safe to say she screamed a ran off behind my cousin's house at least 10 times, until we finally left her to her own devices and collected the fine quantity of sweets thrown our way. I don't think she's too big on all the people. A bit shy maybe, who would have ever guessed??

A few from the parade in the am.
