long lost friends

Yesterday was a blissful day spent with my beautiful friend Stacey and her adorable kiddos. It's been Waaa-aaayy too long but the kids had a ball and got along so well. Nevermind the insane locations we chose to try and visit while the kiddos played. Didn't quite work out for a visit until we decided to head to her parents home just down the road. I just love love love that girl. Such a wonderful heart and a really great friend. It always feels lilke no time has passed whenever I see her. So lucky to have a friend like that...

kinda bored

so random posting sounded like a nice distraction. Well, since I'm a recent shopaholic, no lie, and since these diaper bags were like 30% off I had to order one before the sale was over, so consequentially, I picked one that could go either way. The one i really wanted was unavailable, but i think this one is pretty cute??



I found this old nursery scale at an estate sale at the coast a few months ago. It actually works! With practice I hope to put it to good use soon--wink wink--.

I've really enjoyed this product line from Safeway. The dishsoap smells so fresh and my rags never get sour? Isn't that nice?



and finally, my new shower curtain. I've had it for about 7 months now and have been waiting to buy a new shower rod that curves and is screwed into the wall like a hotel. But I have yet to buy one. So I finally just put it up and it sure brightens up all the white white white, remember this post?

the parade

our tradition as of the past 3 years is to buzz on over to my cousin's house (a whole 0.9 miles away) to watch the local parade. Which realy means the kids can collect lots of treats from the passing parade. Jillian is not a huge fan, but at least this year she didn't hide behind my cousin's van as she did here

he had a birthday. His DREAMS came true with his Bat Cave. He's slept with batman and especially the motorcycle. He and his sister have shared hours of fun the past two days actually playing together?? Wow, score for mom and dad. Forget about the bike, nothing compares to the batman....

ring the doorbell and have him return it --swoon-- these parents are likely to have their handsfull with the girls chasing this boy. Luckily, he's as sweet as they come. He was SO excited Aiden, the little brother he never had, was coming over to watch fireworks with them. He was surely exhausted after the amount of playing he did with the kids. What a gem inside and out.
