{New Baby}

No, I'm not pregnant => However, I did get a new "baby" for my B-day...a real camera => I'm sort of embarrassed to say, however, I am so excited to pursue a hobby of photography. I've been OBSESSED with photoblogs for the past year and am reallllly hesitant to post pictures when I've seen the real deal with my own eyes. However, if I never try, I'll never get better. So here it is!! I now need to invest in a good portrait lens and some photoshop (we lost ours when when our computer went pooh-ee on us) As well as some basic lessons in how to process pictures. Any suggestions are much appreciated, but be kind =>
So anyhoo, I've loved this old Foundry building by our house and have had many visions of photos there, although I'm not exactly sure how to compose the shots or how to tweak my camera just so, but here are some verrrrrrry rough shots and the sun was about gone, but it was really fun to try.

{"Oh, My Tartersauce!"}

This was what I heard Jillian telling Aiden this morning while I was making breakfast. Apparently she was trying to discourage him from playing with her toys and adopted this new phrase?? Where she heard it, I'll never know...

{I PASSED!!!!}

Whew!!!! This experience in nursing is school is probably the most intense of my life!!! I jokingly told my fellow student "I feel like we're in medical school!" She replied "WE ARE!!!" I tell you, the pressure is intense because if you fail, that's it, it's over. Uggh! Well, I'm happy to announce that the majority of us survived 106 (the first term). Only 5 more to go!! => Not so bad right? (r-iiiiiiii-ght....) My kiddos and husband survived as well => Desi brought home the most gorgeous orchid and a bottle of my favorite sweet wine (Muscat, it tastes just like the grapes we ate in France which were, of course, Muscat grapes => ) At first I didn't know what they were for?? It's not my birthday? (yet...=> ) Then I realized he got them as a congratulations!!! WHAT-A-MAN!!! Love him forever.... He's been the most incredible, supportive, and understanding guy through it all. Being the provider and Mr. Mom is no easy task, and he has done it with no complaining and very few overwhelmed moments. I will post some pictures as soon as we find our USB cord of the lovely flowers and of course, the fam => Thanks for all the support of allllllll my family and friends. I couldn't do this with out your support and cheerleading!! =>

{Sorry Mom...}

Well, my momma is really hoping for some updated pics, however, either the internet, or blogger, is having some issues and not uploading my photos. boo..=< So instead, I thought I'd share a little moment that just made me giggle and marvel at the miracle of a little child growing up =>

Jillian just dug out a bunch of toys she hasn't played with in eons. She grabbed her "baby laptop" I'd purchased for her when she was about 9 mos old or so and proudly announced "Look what I found! Let's both play on our computers!" So excited.

She then proceeds to push one of the four baby buttons which says in a sing-song voice "Baby's Got Mail!!"

Jillian looks at me with such a knowing look and shakes her head. "It said 'Baby's got mail'" pause with a snort and shaking her head knowingly, "Baby's don't get mail. My Baby Brother doesn't get mail"

Mom: "You're right" I just can't believe how grown up shes getting these days. Her understanding of the world and how it works just amazes me. She's just fabulous, you know? =>

By the way, just to write it down, Aiden has been talking up a storm about the past month or so. He copies everything you say and love-love-loves books and music. Whenever he hears music of anykind whether it's a commerical or music from a movie or on the radio, he just Rocks Out! Bopping his head, and my favorite, stomping his feet to the beat. I've knicknamed him "fancy feet" these days as he loves to stomp his feeties when the mood strikes => I just love that little man. My recent fav is how he reacted the first time he saw the Halloween Charlie Brown movie just dancing and shakin his head to the theme music. Ever notice how great that music is?? I looooove it, no wonder I like jazz so much => So nostalgic of childhood in the 70's-80's.

Anyhow, I'll try this pics again later...

{Halloween for the Grown Ups}

Desi and I attended our good friends Jolene and Dusty's annual Halloween Bash. It was a blast an I have to say the boys had the costume contest in the bag this year. Between my bro-in-law Tony's nerd costume (which won by the way for the guys), Ace Ventura, and Dwight from "The Office", it was a tough call. It was a fun night away =>

{Happy Halloweeny!!)

Well, our Halloween was a bit of a downer a Jilly was realllly sick with a virus. She had a really high fever (upwards of 104.7!) from the Saturday prior and beyond Halloween. So... even though she wasn't really feeling 100% she still wanted to trick-or-treat. She'd been looking forward to it forever it seemed. So we dressed the little munchkins up and hit a total of 3 houses => She thinks she scored big, which is great for us too as we don't have copious amounts of candy hanging out in our cupboard with all the reminants of Easter still burgeoning => Now Aiden has come down with the yucky illness. Poor little guy...=< I hope it doesn't last as long as Jilly (7 days) It was really scary.
