{Thank Heaven For...}
Cascade 2 in 1 action Paks!!! No, this is not a commercial nor am I getting paid to say this, but I just have to say, its so worth the extra $2 to not have to rewash my dishes every time I run the dishwasher. Here's to the woman (obviously, bc who else would care if their dishes had no crusty white residue left on them after a complete wash cycle) who invented these blessed things. Next I'll try running the thing on normal instead of heavy wash...here's hoping =>

{Laughed So Hard I Cried}
Well, Desi found this sad, sad video online and we were laughing so hard we were literally both crying. It's really sort of sad, but I don't think I've ever seen someone this off balance most likely related to copious alcohol consumption.Too funny...

{Things I Love, Things I Don't Love}
So maybe it's mostly because school unofficially starts next week, (boo-hoo) or because Aunt Flow has made her usual appearance and I feel like ALL the iron in my body has officially left the building, but I'm feeling a bit out of sorts these days... I'm sad that all the lovely time I've had with my kiddos this summer is coming to an end and the thought of going back to all craziness makes me sort of ill. I'm so glad I have only 9 more months left, but wow, will they be busy ones. So I thought I'd share a few of our recent memories and adventures in child rearing before I forget them and they disappear forever into the recesses of my mind.
Some things about Aiden: He is the sweetest little man I know. I just love his little heart. What I heard the other day while driving in the car.
Aiden: "I yuv you..."
Jilly: silent, day-dreaming
Aiden: a little louder, "I YUV YOOO-OU..."
Jilly: "I love you too, Buddy"
in the living room: Jilly on the couch, mom in the kitchen, Aiden looking at Jilly laying on the couch
Aiden: "I yuv you, Seesy."
Jilly: "I yuv you too, Aiden."
Aiden: runs into the kitchen with a huge smile, pointing to himself, "Seesy, yuv's me, Mommy!"
Church bells ringing in the distance:
Aiden: "Mommy, its a chuu-ch!"
Mom: "You're right, Buddy, it is a church."
Aiden: "Wet's go in-sside!"
Mom: "You want to go to church?"
Aiden: "Yeah!"
Mom: "Okay, we'll go on Sunday." =>
Aiden: "Okay, Wets DO it!" --this would be Aiden's favorite phrase of late, gets me every time.
Some things about Jillian: Well, she definitely has a loving and sweet nature, but boy does she give me a run for my money. Its been a challenge to reign in her very stubborn nature and iron will, but I've definitely gained some confidence. I swear the Good Lord knew I needed to learn how to be assertive and more sure of myself so he blessed me with a little lesson of my very own that would teach me these traits => Any how, some of our progress, thanks to a sticker-reward system, includes: going to bed without a fuss, being nice and sharing with Aiden, and, believe it or not, cleaning her entire room all by herself => Though we still have our days, most of them are much better and positive.
Jillian: "Mommy, I love you more than I love my ...(fill in the blank) " most recently it was Black Beauty.
Some regular conversations with Miss J often include questions about the origin of things ie:
Jilly: "Mommy, did God make this book or did people make this book?"
Mom: "People made the book."
Jilly: "Mommy, did God make the birds or did people make the birds?"
Mom: "God made the birds."
...and so on. Sometimes she's pretty smart because she'll realize that even though people may have made somethings, that God made the stuff people use to build them, like houses for example.
Somethings about my hubba:
Well, lately he and his bro have been working their arse's off building the footing and the framework for our fence. I have a ton of pics to post of this, but those will have to wait just yet. Anyhoo, I've missed his company on the weekends and even most week nights, but I so admire his dedication to getting our yard in. It's been a project that we've been waiting for 18 months to begin and due to lack of time and resources has been on hold. I can't tell you how exciting it is to see the perimeter of our future backyard outlined with a majestic fortress of a fence, and I'm not kidding about this, from the park side it looks ten feet high! We'll probably have to wait on the rest of the yard until spring as the weather is bound to be turning bad soon and since I'll be in school we just won't have time or funds. But it's a beginning!!
So now I will close saying I have joined the ranks of the Twilight fans and am almost done with book number two. I'm sort of obsessed with them and considering my leisure time is soon ending, have been reading voraciously these past two weeks. Thanks for the recommendations Jaime and Kristy, I can't WAIT to see the movie!! If you're still close by when it comes out, Kristy, we should go together =>
Well...Goodnight!
